July 26 Headlines

Folks Ronald Geohaghan of Low Country is the 2008 National champion in the Youth boys Triple Jump, 12.77m - way to go!!!! He will also compete in the Long Jump tomorrow.

Intermediate Boys Pole Vault just listed:

David Melton of Mount Pleasant - 2nd place - mark of 4.35M
Not too shabby as well is Brett Squibbs of A-Head-A-U - with a 10th place - mark of 3.90m

Some other 10th place finishers yesterday I missed to tell you
Seneca Blazers Bantam Boys 4 x 100 - 10th place in qualifiers - time 57.78

Zachary Hasty of Low Country - 10th in the Young Men's Long Jump - 7.02m

July 25th Update

Intermediate Girls Pole Vault
Kimberliegh Riggs of A-Head-A-U Track Club - came 9th - great show gal
Sandi Morris - Quick Striders - she is injured - and still pulled off 13th place!

Young Women Discus
National Champion - that's right National Champion - Brittney Waller of Quick Striders with a throw of 45.39!
Raivyn Chancellor of Quick Striders came 5th in this event as well.

The following have qualified for the finals:
Youth Boys 100
Brandon Sanders of palmetto Speed - 2nd seeded spot
Michael Thomas of Summerville - 5th seed

Midget Boys 100
Davon Anderson of Summerville - 8th seed spot

Worthy note here Austin Connor of Palmetto Speed had the 9th fastest time in the Bantam Boys 100.

Intermediate Boys 400 - Byron Mingo of Palmetto Speed - 8th seed spot

Intermediate Girls 400 - Brianna Nelson of Quick Striders - 5th seed spot

Good luck to all and great job to all that have competed so far - whether you made it to the podium or finals - great job - all of us in South Carolina are proud of each of you competing at Nationals.
